The mission or primary purpose of the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office is to maintain social order within prescribed ethical and constitutional limits, while providing professional law enforcement services. To attain this goal, the Agency enforces the law in a fair and impartial manner, recognizing both the statutory and judicial limitations of police authority and the constitutional rights of all persons. The Agency recognizes that no law enforcement agency can operate at its maximum potential without supportive input from the citizens it serves.
Each employee of the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office is to serve the public to the best of their ability. Each member shall be honest and abide by and uphold the laws of the State of Georgia.
All members shall keep their private lives unsullied as an example to all; maintain courageous calm in the face of danger, scorn, or ridicule; develop self restraint; and be constantly mindful of the welfare of others. A member shall never act officiously or permit personal feelings, prejudices, animosities or friendship to influence decisions. Each member shall enforce the law courteously and appropriately without fear or favor, malice, or ill will, never employing unnecessary force or violence and never accepting gratuities.
Our pledge is to provide professional, courteous law enforcement while continuing to develop community programs that will grow with our county. To listen to the needs of our citizens and to work to provide services in the most cost-effective manner without sacrificing the quality of law enforcement Catoosa County should expect and deserve.
